But something was different as my feet hit the floor.
At first glance I thought it all was a dream,
For few things are ever as clear as they seem.
Even though I went through, the door of my house.
And expected to see, the face of my spouse.
The only one there, who was very hard to see.
Was a man in white robes, “how could this be?”
I looked all around me, not daring to talk.
My body seemed frozen, I couldn’t even walk.
Then my memory kicked in, and my heart filled with fear.
The events that had happened now were quite clear.
The moments before when I’d walked through the door.
Now were so real that I began to explore.
Our home had a prowler with evil in mind.
Thank God that my spouse was not there to find.
I was hit with a bullet, and died instantly.
But the prowler didn’t know that I was now set free.
I had accepted the Savior so many years before.
Now the streets up in Heaven, I will start to explore.
They were all paved in gold and one led to my place.
As I walked in the door, someone stared in my face.
He said,” we’ve been waiting, please come now inside.”
“For this part of Heaven is where you will abide.”
“For this is God’s kingdom, for the saints who have passed.
To live here forever, is how your future is cast.”
“You can walk with your Savior, with time there’s no end,
Of His riches abundant, you can always depend.”
So when you are certain that forever you’ll live.
Make sure that to Jesus, your heart you will give.
The penalty for denial is worse than the rod.
It would mean that you’ve missed it, “The Kingdom of God.”

You have good rhythm and rhyme. I like the descriptions.
