From a time so long ago,
In a land so far away.
A group of people prayed to God,
Usually in dismay.
Blessed beyond what man could hope,
Gods favor lit their path.
But disobedience often came,
They knew well of Gods wrath.
From all the days of Isaacs’s sons,
There’s been fighting till the present.
Most would worship God on high;
From the king down to the peasant.
But where the problem usually comes,
Is with the mention of Christ’s name.
Some would say He’s just a man,
Yet others proclaim His fame.
When Jesus walked upon the earth,
Where Israel is today.
He had no sin and loved His Father,
Always taking time to pray.
He taught of love and mercy gave,
To all who would believe.
He healed the sick and walked the wave,
To the disciples He would receive.
He left a footprint on that land,
Even though His bodies gone.
Many still will grab His hand,
As they wake up every dawn.
The footprints spread throughout the world,
And are much alive today.
But only those who call His name,
Will see the Son’s own ray.
