The tolls are ringing world wide,
With devastation of such magnitude.
Reaching the hearts across the world.
Oh God! we seek your love and comfort.

Prayers for those left grieving
Alone in agony and mourning.
Hearts shattered and such misery
Tsunami's wrath strikes without warning.

Mournful cries of hearts wailing,
Sounds of death pierces the air.
Deaths surmounting by waters ebbing,
Great numbers dead unspeakable horror.

God says we must love one another
Help a brother and sister in trouble.
Our world neighbors are in distress
Such proportions of pain and anguish.

We are all God's children
As world location doesn't matter.
We must reach out to the need
Assist in aid to help the pain ease.

May we all join hands together
As we unite in hearts and spirit.
Helping these people is the plan
Let's get down to God's work at hand.

(recognizing the pain in Asia when the Tsunami's struck)

Mark 13:31
The second is this. Love your neighbor as yourself. There is not commanment greater than these.

John 13:34
A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you so you must love one another.

It was such a tragedy, and you expressed that feeling, and God's call to us, very nicely.
Mary McLeary03/07/09
A somber reminder of God's call to be His hands and feet. Thank you.
Debra Smith03/09/09
Shows empathy of a servants heart.

This was beautifully done. Remembering the tragedies of the tsunami and praying for those who lost everything is so important.

This poem helps to remind us of something terrible that happened not so long ago. How quick it is of people to forget the bad. Yet again, how wonderful it is of those who do remember. Good job of bringing God into the picture. Sometimes it takes a shock to wake people up.

May God help them

Beautiful appeal for help for those struck down by this awful tragedy. Well done.
