Larry and Gina were perplexed. They won free air tickets, but they couldn't decide where to take their trip. Sunshine Travel had a contest and their names got picked.

The young girl, who was blonde with freckles, was their travel agent. She had just graduated from a trade school. She gave them brochures for Hawaii and Alaska. Larry and Gina were nearing retirement; they both had three weeks of vacation time. Wow! you would never know that this couple was in there sixties because they looked so young.

Larry was studying the material, while Gina was sitting and looking at the travel pictures on the wall. Larry seemed not impressed with the Hawaii and Alaska brochures.

"Can we go overseas?” asked Larry.

"Yes you can, do you have a country in mind?” the agent asked.

Larry turned his head, looked at his wife and said, "How about the United Kingdom."

"Honey, I get confused, where is the United Kingdom?" Gina asked.

"The United Kingdom is a state that has four countries. England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales,” Larry said.

Gina is getting excited, "I would love to go to England."

"I have a brochure that has things to see," commented the travel agent, as she pulled out the England brochure that was in her file cabinet.

"There is Westminster Abby, St Paul's cathedral, Churchill's Museum, The HM Tower, Houses Of Parliament. Does this interest you?" said the agent.

"Yes," said Gina as she looked over at her husband with look that said we got to go.

"I think we want to go to England. If we were to stay there seven days, how much would the hotel and rental car be?" asked Larry

The agent, typing in the necessary information on her computer, paused for a few minutes and said, "It would be about one thousand dollars."

"Wow!" Larry said with excitement.

"Before we put the reservation in stone we need to clear it with our employers. Can you give us 24 hours?" said Gina.

"That would be fine," the agent said.

"We will give you a call tomorrow," Larry said.

This turned out to be a trip of a lifetime. Had they never won the tickets, and got the cheap hotel and rental car, they would have never had the money to take a trip like this.

This certainly sounds like a dream vacation, I wish I had been able to read more of how much they had enjoyed it.

One quick note: "Larry seemed not impressed"

I think you meant, "unimpressed"

^_^

Good job! This was a nice, light read.

I'm jealous of Larry and Gina! :) I wish I could win a free trip to England, too! Blessings on your writing!

What a nice pre-retirement prize to win. Well, better than nice, incredible is a better word.
Good job with the dialogue.
