Pop! Okay, I’m awake, here we go. Whoa, what’s going on? Thud, thud, thud. What is all of this anyway? Oh no, here it comes, brace yourself. Slam! You know, they could be a little gentler when they do that. Oh, it’s all coming back now. I remember this from last year. What did I do to deserve this?

“Did you turn off the coffee pot?” “Did you remember to ask the neighbor to mow the lawn?” “Quit picking on your sister.” “Did you remember to get someone to teach your Sunday School class?” “Quit pinching your brother.”

For crying out loud, I can hardly wait to hear, “Are we there yet?” If it’s this much commotion, why can’t they just stay home? But I suppose there’s no chance of that. I have a feeling there’s no turning back now. I guess I’ll just have to try to make the best of it.

Are you paying attention? Careful, careful! Whew! That was close. Okay, deep breath, calm down. Well, it’s pretty hard to calm down with so many on either side of me, but I’ll have to try or I’ll never get through this ordeal.

Ahh, yes, that’s the one thing that feels good - now just a nice steady pace.

Sure, I was all nice and comfortable and now we’re off to another direction. Blink, blink, blink, blink, blink, blink, - uh, hello, how long do you expect me to keep doing this? I sure hope not for two miles like the other day. The lever, the lever – thank you.

Okay, so it’s a little dusty out here folks. I’d sure like to get cleaned up. Oh no, there’s one of those places - where they go and never come back. Well, I suppose it’s my destiny one day, but I plan to avoid it for as long as possible, and I am just a spring chicken after all.

How I miss the good old days. I had a name and a home of my own that I didn’t have to share. I was always clean inside and out and never thirsty or wanting for anything.

What’s that sound? Oh, I remember now – la, la, la, la, I can’t hear you, la, la, la, la, I can’t hear you. Yuck, the stench and it takes so long for it to go away. There we go, a chance to take a break and get aired out a bit.

“I think we should have taken the other road.”

“No, I’m sure this is the right one. No, wait a minute. Well, I guess I’m not sure.”

“I think we’re lost.”

Ya think? How hard is it? I mean I do all the work and all they have to do is keep the directions straight. When they can’t even do that right, it just makes that much more work for me.

Well, I guess they finally figured out where to go. What a fiasco and this is only the first day.

“Are we there yet?”

Grrr.

From the view point of the car...THAT'S creative! A lot of fun. There was a lot of human speak going on that distracted me from the car's perspective. Maybe a little more visualiztion from the car's point of view...like the driveby of the junkyard or the hot sun in parking lots...just a thought. God Bless and Keep Writing!
