Iíve never traveled overseas,
To those countries far away.
Even though we have a great desire,
There were no funds to pay.

We love the land of Mick Dundee,
Or where Zena made her stand.
And the place of that most powerful ring,
There in that Hobbit land.

To see the landscape from afar,
On a TV screen or books.
Could not compare to being there,
And getting first hand looks.

The creation that our God has made,
Is endless in its glory.
But itís hard to get the real feel,
When itís only in a story.

I find this topic hard to do,
And it makes me hesitate.
To write about a far off land,
Of which I canít relate.

I guess I could just fabricate,
The words for which to write.
But being real is what I feel,
Would give this story bite.

So when you chose another topic,
Please give it some deep thought.
Of how your writers will relate,
And inspiration can be caught.

Or maybe I should write my dreams,
With tails so very tall.
Then drift off into fantasy, for,
ďItís A Small World After AllĒ.

Cute poem.

Something to consider for future topics that are more challenging or unfamiliar: we're writers, and writing outside of our zone of familiarity helps us to grow to be better writers. Embrace the new topics, enjoy doing a bit of research, and write something unlike anything you've written before.
