In today's economy, I am surprised by the number of people forgetting the reason for the season. Here we are in the midst of a recession and people are still caught up in getting presents. Even in my own family, I find myself having to battle TV ads and remind the children what its all about.
Christmas is about God sending Jesus to us. If we get nothing else for Christmas, we should feel blessed that God sent Jesus Christ to live among us. Our sins are forgiven and our eternity secure because Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary. Yes, Jesus had to die for our sins. But he could not have died on the cross without first being born.

Good points. A bit short, but valid arguments for sure.
