It had happened many times before; the birth of a child on earth.
Most would be of lowly means, but one would have great worth.
All would come through a mother’s womb; and take that breath of air.
And when they entered into the world, they started without a care.
The desires of a normal man were superficial at their best.
They were self centered from the start, as they suckled the mother’s breast.
The world would change with just one birth, and hope would sprout anew.
For it was the will of God above; something all men, should pursue.
There are those that say, “What’s the deal”, He was just another child.
They couldn’t understand His holy means, of being undefiled.
They didn’t have trust, or faith, or hope, and would never think to pray.
When He was born in that lowly manger, to them, “It Was Just Another Day.”
It was just a day to fill your need, and to have all your desires.
To pursue that road of self indulgence, whatever your will inspires.
For most will want, and want, and want; ignoring the price to pay.
And when their life is at its end, say, “It Was Just Another Day.”
In present time that days called Christmas, celebrated every year.
It brings some joy and others pain and some are filled with fear.
We give out gifts to those we love and share a meal with friends.
A time for laughter and forgiveness, and some will make amends.
It’s the time of year I love the most, with glad tidings of great joy.
With memories of the years gone by, since I was just a boy.
The music played and songs were sung, which I thought were “OK.”
I never ever thought of Christmas, as, “It Was Just Another Day.”
As Christmas comes again this year, what will your mindset be?
Will you give thanks, unto the God, who has given you liberty?
And can you praise His Son by Name, as you celebrate His birth?
And will you recognize His fame, when He came down to this earth?
I thank you Lord that You forgive, when I am so wrapped up in me.
That You’ve taken off these worldly blinders, and given me eyes to see.
You’ve claimed my soul and I’m in Your family, steadfast in Your stay.
For me at Christmas it will never be, like, “It Was Just Another Day.”
