Each year we get some Christmas cards, from friends both far and near.
They wish us well in festive times, and some may bring a tear.
We also send to our dear friends, and may share a thought or two.
And if you make the final cut, a card could come to you.

Most we get will wish us well, and some contain a verse.
Sending cards is not so cheap, and tends to drain their purse.
But the thought they send will give some hope, and show they really care.
And with the people of today, that thought is truly rare.

I love this special time of year, when we hear from many friends.
It reminds me of the Blessed Hope, from Christ which never ends.
It gives me joy and puts a smile, on my face most every day.
But most of all, it brought us Christ, who for my sins will pay.

Itís easy to be superficial, and send cards to show face.
To send them early and be the first, to win the sending race.
Its there the meaning could get lost, without the right intent.
And when the season passes by, we forget they were even sent.

There is a special Christmas card that I read from time to time.
It came from God in Heaven above, and even contains some rhyme.
It brings us hope amidst despair, and Truth will encourage all.
And to each one who reads its text, they will feel the Masters call.

Have you read this Christmas card? Do you have it in your home?
Are you inspired to read its verse and its pages daily comb?
Do you know the meaning of its words, and the way your life could change?
Do you see the Christ in it, or do its words you rearrange?

Most cards we get contain a message, and try to give us cheer.
Some messages are very subtle, and others, very clear.
Some of them will make us laugh, and some will bring a tear.
And when all, are opened and read, weíll do it again next year.

The message of Godís special card will bring the world its hope.
It gives encouragement to all who read, and shows them how to cope.
Itís the only card that you can read, that can take away your fear.
Because when it was sent to man, ďThe Message Was So Clear.Ē

This is my favorite line,
Are you inspired to read its verse and its pages daily comb?
Good job. Very well written and very comparable with the two subjects of Cards and the Bible. Keep writing.

What a great analogy of Christmas cards to the Bible! Great rhyming... Good job!
