For something to be complete,
It must possess a core
And what holds it together,
Consider the s’more.
A camping weekend
Is not the same without it
And it teaches a lesson
If you think about it.
Imagine the s’more
Without one of its parts
Or think of the flavor,
Where is ends and where it starts.
The three parts come together,
Chocolate and marshmallow,
With graham cracker ends
Over the fiery glow.
One without the other,
It is not complete.
But put them together,
There’s nothing quite as sweet.
As I ponder this a bit
What does the s’more remind me of?
Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit
And Father in heaven above.
They exist together,
God the Father, the Son
And the Holy Spirit,
They are the three in one.
To have Father and Son,
But no Holy Spirit
Or Jesus without God,
I can’t imagine it.
They move in unity.
Their work is never done.
And when they touch my life,
They are present as one.
One without the other,
It simply isn’t right,
But as the three in one
They are the shining light.
