Life

I was born into this game of life,
Sought happiness to win.
The fun, delights, bright pleasures rife
Brought seasons filled with sin.

The crop I reaped was sorrow
As from man I sought a prize,
Lost hope for my tomorrow,
Dreams died before my eyes.

But a change in my perspective,
A bowing of my knee
An opening of my heart
To the Man of Galilee--

I was born into His Game of Life,
His fame became my goal,
A paradox, from death came life
And contentment to my soul.

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. (Colossians 3:1-3 ESV)
