Waiting for your husband to return home from war. Waiting for God to heal your broken marriage. Waiting to overcome the grievance from a family member’s death. Waiting for God to give you a miracle. Waiting for a raise at your job. Waiting for direction in your life. Waiting for an easier year. Waiting. Waiting for faith that can move a mountain. Waiting for God.
“God, can you stop testing my patience?”
“My child, all this time you think I am testing your patience; you are actually testing mine. I am waiting. Waiting for you to give me your burden. Waiting for you to give me your family. Waiting to bless you. Waiting for you to lift your eyes to me. Waiting. Waiting for you to lean on me completely and make me your priority. My child, when will you stop testing my patience?
