Time stands still
When my heart is broken
And the pain lingers
And I am swallowed up
in memories that
circle continuously….
Where darkness weighs so heavily
Sustained captivity
And I wonder
How much longer
Must I endure?
My prayers seem no more
Than a vapor of silence
Instead of the pleading
My words implore
Evaporate into despair?
But God who remembered me
Looked upon this lonely one
And bent ever so near
To hear
My sighs and groanings
To my crying out
For salvation
And deliverance
And hope---
And gave me steadfast assurance
That His Son
Was the One
Who could set me free
And give me new life
Abundantly
For it was the joy
That was set before Him
That He endured
And because He took my place
My sins are now erased
The fruitfulness of His Spirit
Applied with grace
And I know without a doubt
That I can suffer long
Because eternity
Awaits me
Patiently.

This is excellent. Very worshipful, smooth to read, beautiful. Well done!
