One of the most difficult virtues of my life was and still is patience. Yet the Lord has been continuously working to develop that in me. I have waited for years right from the time I got saved to be involved in full time ministry: almost eleven years now. But to my dismay I have not been successful, though I have tried to use every open door that I came across.

My mom often told me, “Wait my dear, God has his ways and time.” When I was in my youth, I wanted to be a youth worker, then years later- a counselor. And now a writer. For years I have been in and out of small-time opportunities in my life, but none for long or for full time.

All these years it was really difficult for me to wait. People used to quote Moses’ example for waiting period. I was not sure if I could wait that long.

But as time passed by, I understood the real meaning of patience. And it was during those times that God developed this virtue in me. I understood that patience is developed, not by being idle or indifferent, but by expecting, hoping and waiting. God is still working patience in me and I know that in His time He will use me for His kingdom and glory.

I love your attitude, and pray the best for you.

Very good message with a great attitude.

I might expand a bit on this - use some examples, maybe, to give some more of a concrete sense of your ideas.

A lesson we all need to remember. Thanks for sharing it.

Sincere and interesting entry into this week's competition. I would have made it a little longer, but not bad.

May God bless.

Sincerely,
Dan Blankenship
