Psalm 26:3 Your constant love is my guide; your faithfulness always leads me.

I stand on the edge
looking down at the vast canyon
yawning before me;
fear and despair grip me in iron claws,
my stomach drops
as if plunging down a rollercoaster.

Jesus, You are the Bridge
that helps me cross over
the chasms of fear and despair
to a place of trust and joy.
For Your constant love is my guide;
your faithfulness always leads me.

I stand at the river
rushing by,
greedily devouring
everything in its path;
its anger threatens
to suck me into the maelstrom.

Jesus, You are the Bridge
that helps me cross over
the churning rivers
of anger and bitterness
to a place of forgiveness and reconciliation.
For Your constant love is my guide;
your faithfulness always leads me.

I stand at eternity,
glorious and awesome;
hope and uncertainty
play tag within my soul.
Your love reaches out,
beckoning me to cross over to You.

Jesus, You are the Bridge
that brings me safely home.
For Your constant love is my guide;
your faithfulness always leads me.

An excellent portrayal of this familiar journey! I liked the last two verses best. Good job with this! ^_^

WOW! Very moving.

I started to copy verses to post here and comment on, when I realized that I liked the WHOLE poem.

Great work and a joy to read.
