Consentrating on reading or writing can sometimes be a challenge for me. For instance when I get up in the morning, and have my coffee beside me, I like to read before everybody gets up.
Sometimes my husband doesn't like it when I read books in the morning. He always rants and raves at me to get his breakfast for him when he could be doing this himself.
At that time, I have to put my book down because I can't consentrate on reading until I consentrate on making breakfast, washing the dishes, and floors.

Before I go to sleep at night, I spend about an a half hour to an hour reading a book. At that time I can consentrate more on what I am reading, but sometimes I almost fall asleep.
When I am alone at home with the kids in school then I can spend some time reading books, and contrating more especially when it's a quiet atmosphere even in a library.

When I write a letter, or a story, I find it hard to consentrate when there is so much going on around me, so I have go to my room at night when I am alone to hand write on paper. Other times I can go to a library, and type out my stories, and letters.

I also find it hard to consentrate when I can't think of anything to write when I have alot on my mind. Later on, I can think of something if I put my mind to it.

There is a time to consentrate on reading, and writing, but there are also more important things to consentrate on. There are doctor appointments to remember, and chores around the house.

I can definitely relate to this!I know how it is to need and want to concentrate on something, yet have work, family and chores to keep up with. Thanks for sharing this piece, my only note is concentration is not spelled with an "s". I usually have to run my stories through a microsoft spell check, otherwise, I'd have a lot of typos. Just a note-this was very relatable. ^_^
