I always wonder if the telephone has been invented to help us or make us miserable.
Let me explain: Does the telephone rings when you are waiting for a call? No.
Does the phone rings when you are sitting doing nothing, or bored and would like to chat with someone, anyone? No.
Does the telephone rings at a respectable time in the evening? Of course not!
In our house the telephone always rings when : Iím in the shower, or I have just sat on the loo or when I have just closed the doors and everything is locked, when Iím coming back from work and rush at the door but miss the call anyway, or when Iím in the back garden or the worst time when the children have finally settled down and start to sleep , or even when itís the best part in the movie or the soap ( and the other person on the telephone is phoning you to try to sell you some insurance !) and I could go on for hours !
I have come to look at our telephone as my enemy; we live in the same house but donít like each other.

Ooh -- I like your idea. I only wish you would have expanded it. The title caught my eye because I relate with it.

I learned many years ago that when I wanted very much to receive a particular phone call, I would lay down to take a nap. It never failed, the phone always rang.

Very clever. I think we all can feel your pain.

I'd love to see this developed even more. Instead of listing examples, pull your reader in with anecdotes. The more humorous the better. Also, work on your formatting by breaking up the story.

Good job.

ha..ha...ha... This is so true! You could have used up all 750 words with this train of thought!

Well done! Keep writing.
