I Celebrate

Come, my son, your brother returns
Hes gone; hes lost and now hes found
Dance, my son, your brother returns
Hes dead; hes crossed just over the mound.

You ask; you insist, yes, hes gone
You weep; you argue why hes returned
You yell; you decry what Ive done
You wish; you relish that hed be burned

Come, my son, your brother returns
Hes changed; hes new his love renewed
Dance, my son, your brother returns
He lives with my righteousness imbued

You swipe; you complain why Im glad
You cry; you surmise how I love
You know; and I know that hes bad
You smirk; you refuse whats above

Repent, my son, for you, too, sinned
My heart, my soul I long for you
Return, my son, quick as a wind
My love, my grace is for you two

Rejoice, my son, whats mine is yours
For it befits that we rejoice
Be glad, my son, my love endures
Partake; enjoy your fathers choice

Come home, my sons, in heavens joys
My heart exults as you prostrate
Come home, my sons, Im full of joy
My soul, so glad I celebrate

What a celebration! I liked the rhythm of this, it had a somewhat haunting feel to the words. Nicely done! ^_^

I love the sense of joy and celebration. It made me smile, and that can only be good :)
