Building Sandcastles

When very young, my Father and I built
Sandcastles, it was a great pastime and
Much effort too,
But the sandness came when I saw, what
The ocean and the tides could do.

I have built many sandcastles in my
Lifetime, and life's oceans would not let
Them stay,
With all my hours of effort and fun, the sea
Washed them all away.

For my sandcastles, were to have and to
Get, and fill every dream I had planned,
But every sandcastle that I built, was like
The washing away of the sand.

But those that are built with the hands of
God, will never be washed out with life's
Sea,
For the builder is building a greater plan,
And His dream complete in you and me.

Are you still building sandcastles that won't
Hold up in the stormy seas of time?
Or is Our Father in Heaven, building your
Sandcastles, like He is building mine.

Good analogy to our many futile efforts. I do hope my home in heaven is not sandy though. What a mess I would make of it!

Such wise insight put into a wonderful form. Short, sweet and to the point full of godly wisdom and told in such a delightful way.

Just beautiful! I think I'd shorten the title to "Sandcastles."

Nice images -made me think of the wise and foolish men that built their houses on the rock and sand.
