“No Sir, please don’t bargain, the price of the pot is fixed”, said the old Bob to his customer. Bob Watson has a ceramic shop in the Wilbur market of Cuba. He and his elder son Samuel Watson runs the shop. “Grand dad, I love this clay elephant. It’s so big. Should I take it”? Asks his four years old grand son Sam, who is having his winter vacation and spends most of the time in the shop. Bob calls him and makes him sit on his lap as he rests himself in the chair. “Of course son, it’s all yours”, replies Bob, with a sweet smile and leans back in the chair. Bob is happy today rather satisfied as his one and only dream of making a big home has come true. With long years of savings Bob has made a small but beautiful home for his son Samuel and daughter Sara, very near to his shop. Tomorrow on Sunday after Church they all will shift to their new home. Almost all the things of the old rented home are shifted in the new one.

“For more than an hour has passed its 11:30pm, how long will you all keep sitting at dining table, finish your meal and go to bed”, says the old Mrs. Watson. Samuel interferes saying “NO mom…15 minutes more.” Well dad, we’ll keep a big portrait in front of the dining table in our new home” and that bit damaged vase in the shop, we will place it at the left corner of the porch, is it ok dad”. “No dad, the vase will be in front of the entrance with fresh tulips in it”, interrupts Sara. “Silence, silence, no more fighting, my dearest children, its entire your home , decorate it as you like, but please take an oath not to make it a fighting home but a healthy family home. “Yes dad” reply both the children.

Its 2.00am, suddenly the whole Cuba got up with the sound of a big bang. Everyone dropped their latches to enquire. Samuel cried, “Daddy see outside the army and those tanks”. The noise is doubled as the fighter planes passed off. Again the next blast scared everyone. Bobs eyes were red with fear. He wanted to go out but Samuel holds his hands and says “no daddy it seems that America has attacked on us”. Bob eyes was emitting fire, his limbs was shaking. He fainted with lots of question within.

At the dawn everything was quiet, not even the chirping birds was heard. Bob rushed from his home just to see his dreams shattered. There was nothing except the debris.
He was crying like anything, cursing and abusing everyone. Samuel comes and speaks with broken tongue, “we have lost our shop too dad, our own men has plundered everything. Whom should we blame and abuse. Let’s go back to our old home dad, just to make it the family home”.

You have some good pieces in here! The only thing I wanted, was to know more about the characters. Such as, for example, I didn't want to 'see old bob' I wanted to know him, did he do anything in particular, such as a twinkle in his eye when he says a familiar phrase? His grandson/son, etc. Show us more, there is definitely a story to be explored here-keep up the good work! ^_^
