Friday- darkness, poking, prodding. What was happening? Suddenly a white light shattered the darkness. Two faces peered into mine, “Welcome to the world honey.” Comfort; warmth; family.

Saturday- sunshine, eggs, toast. Where’s my Daddy? Suddenly a white light appeared in the doorway. The blonde hero grinned, “Is my big girl going to try coffee today?” Comfort; warmth; family.

Sunday- music, pews, prayer. Will you forgive me? Suddenly a white light shone into my soul. My savior whispered, “Hello, my child.” Comfort; warmth; family.

Monday- rain, angst, rock-n-roll. Doesn’t anyone care? Suddenly a white light reflected off the windshield. The policeman bent down, “Your parents are looking for you.” Comfort; warmth; family.

Tuesday- hearts, flowers, romance. Could this really be happening? Suddenly a white light danced across the ring. The man bent his head, “Till death do us part.” Comfort; warmth; family.

Wednesday- sirens, tears, loss. Where’s my mommy? Suddenly a white light grew from within. A Voice answered, “She is waiting for you.” Comfort; warmth; family.

Thursday- sorrow, anger, betrayal. How can I forgive him? Suddenly a white light bathed the altar. The Pastor replied, “Jesus loves you.” Comfort; warmth; family.

Friday- darkness, poking, prodding. Do I care? Suddenly a white light shattered the darkness. Golden faces peered into mine, “Welcome home honey.” Comfort; warmth; family.

Wow!!! This is very poetical.
I was a little confused at the end...did the author get saved or go to heaven? (I think heaven, but earlier I thought it was the mother that died.)
I loved the recurring thoughts of love, warmth, and family.
Well done.

Life IS a cycle. You expressed it well.

This is an unusual take on the subject but interesting, nevertheless.
