Yes we have a family pet but it is multiplied times three.
They are my wifeís and hers alone which leaves me somewhat free.
It started many years ago when our vows were spoken aloud.
The message was so very clear; our family would always be a crowd.

I married her with cat in hand for they could not separate.
The two of them would speak of love which was never second rate.
This was the beginning of pets galore which has spanned the course of many years.
They all have brought us tons of joy but would leave us with some tears.

These 29 years have gone by fast with dogs of many breeds.
Some were small and others large and she attended to their needs.
No matter what the circumstance she always put me first.
She loved them all so very much but her love for me would burst.

So now Iíll tell you of today with kids now gone afar.
Her dogs so big the rig we need is much bigger than a car.
The wolfhound is tall and very long and resembles a small horse.
He loves to be a mommaís boy and with her other dog to course.

His playmate is a Pyrenees whose coat is white as snow.
She thinks sheís mom of the entire house and is sure to let us know.
But thatís not all there is one more, a cat whoís black and white.
She follows us most everywhere but sleeps outside our door at night.

I guess were blessed to have her pets for they bring her lots of joy.
But most of all she loves me best; Iím still her favorite toy.
Then sometime in the future years; itís possible that we could be free.
To explore the country without her pets; it would be just her and me.

But for today Iíll have to say our household seems so full.
And even though I am the king her pets have lots of pull.
She keeps me on the pedestal when sometimes I might fuss.
But this family would not be complete if we didnít have
ďThe Five Of UsĒ.
