My Sister

She came into my life, when I was only three.
Adoration followed her, twas not the same for me.
Abandonment was how I felt, where do I fit in.
I had held the place of honor, she took it all away.

She sat on Daddy lap, a place that had been mine.
He gave her little kisses, and told me not to whine.
I did not want to love her, I tried to stay away.
She is not even pretty, was all I had to say.

As each day came, and then went on into years.
We began to share our laughter and also many tears.
Her hurts became a part of me, sometimes hard to bear.
But in our love, there was a place that only we would share.

The Doctor called, you have to come for she is fading fast.
When did she get so ill I asked, but he would only say.
If she lives until you get hear, we can only pray.
We buried her, I said goodby Iíll see you Sis one day.

Ohhh! So sad! This was a short glimpse into the relationship between two sisters, I felt sad to see the end of it come so quickly, but I did like the easy rhymes in the first two verses. Nice job. ^_^

This is sad. Saw a grammar error on the use of "hear" instead of "here", but otherwise, very heartfelt tribute.
