I started out as a Mom, and then about 8 years later, I became an aunt. Being an Aunt is wonderful, especially when it's the holiday season such as Christmas, and Easter.
My daughter, and my Neice, Eleigha, get a long great. They are one year apart. I have a few younger neices who are 3 and 3 and a half, and they play together when the whole family gets together. I now have 7 neices, and 3 nephews. My son is the only boy on my side of the family. There are 2 neices on my husband's side of the family whom I never met yet. One is 10, and one is 6. She is the same age as my daughter. The one nephew whom I never met yet is 2. My other nephews are grown up, and have children of their own.
I haven't spoken with my other neice who is now almost 22 years old. I know she has very busy life. I am going to another neice or nephew this Christmas. I'll just keep my fingers crossed for this baby.
One Christmas I knitted some hats and mittons for a few of my neices. I might make a book for the three of them this holiday season depending on how it goes. I hope that God will guide me through that plan.
I cherished the time I spent with my aunts and uncles when I visited with them about twice a year.
