I remember when I was little my When I went to visit my grandparents every weekend, my grandmother read the bible stories to my brother and I all the time as we sat in her room on the bed. She told us that we must accept Jesus if we want to get to heaven, and live forever. She talked about the garden of Eden. She had a gentle way of talking about the bible. I still have the children's bible that I recieved from both of my grandparents from Christmas. Other times when I was visiting with my grandparents, I would help my grandmother and grandfather peel corn, and plant potatoes. We used to pick the vegetables were ready to eat. My grandparents owned a general store in Battersea. I visit that place every with my own family whenever we drive down to the beach just past the store. We also see the house which is located on the hill. When my brothers and I were young, we also went over to the barn which was located next to my grandparent's house, and we went swinging from the rope. One day we saw a cat with kittens which over in one corner. We had to be very careful that our dog, and my grandparent's dog didn't try to endanger the mother cat especially the kittens. When I was about seven, I liked to give my grandmother a hairdo. A few times I put in some bubby pins, and other times I would comb her hair. She always a cupboard full of toys, and books. I used to hooked this particular book some colouring, and problem solving exercises. She used to have candy in the cupboard for whenever we came to visit was was almost every week. Those are the memories which I will always treasure or cherish. I have my grandmother's graduation ring from when she became a teacher.
