King Solomon was blessed with heavenly wisdom, David preceded him in faith and humility and Solomon asked nothing but wisdom from the Lord God.
Filled with divine wisdom King Solomon once said,
Go to the ant, you sluggard!
Consider her ways and be wise,
Which, having no captain,
Overseer or ruler,
Provides her supplies in the summer,
And gathers her food in the harvest.
How long will you slumber, O sluggard?
When will you rise from your sleep?
A little sleep, a little slumber,
A little folding of the hands to sleep—
So shall your poverty come on you like a prowler,
And your need like an armed man.
Proverbs 6:5-11 (New King James Version)
To act in time, to come out of the bondage of laziness is what the Lord God desires from us always. Time never waits, if the Holy Spirit speaks to us to do a certain thing at a certain time, we should do it. Procrastination is nothing but sin.
The Lord God of King Solomon and our blessed Lord Jesus Himself encouraged us in thus manner,
“We must work the works of Him who sent Me as long as it is day; night is coming when no one can work “John 9:4 (New American Standard Bible)
Yesterday is gone, tomorrow is yet to come, what we have is today, and right now, so let us do what God expects us to do for the glory of His holy name.
We are accountable to God for all He has given us, our time, our talents and everything we have. God desires that we should use them perfectly for His glory.
Along with His perfect gifts, God also blesses us with the Spirit of right discernment through which we can decide to use the right gift at the right time.
Just Imagine! How happy would God be when He sees us living as per His perfect will and has He not promised this to us?
If we are faithful in little, the Lord God will bless us with much and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will reign our heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
