Hear the piper, time is calling – thy spirit dance draweth near

Youth is but a passing season – laughing in a pool of tears

Age is yet our mortal folly – embrace it not as something dear

Time, it counts a clocks illusion – birthdays are simply another year

Another Year, please give me more. You opened and quickly shut the door. You have the talent, that much I see, so please reveal those skills to me. (smile)

I like "Youth is just a passing season". The poem reminds us of the fleetingness of time.

Sorry, I misquoted. I put "just" instead of "but".

Interesting imagery, such as the paradox 'laughing in a pool of tears'.

This entry has promise, but it isn't long enough. You need a minimum of 150 words to qualify for the challenge. I can see you have talent though, so please keep entering! :)

Very clever and fun to read, albeit short.

TML, I liked this. I loved the message in it and style. The only problem was, as some have pointed out already, that it was miles under the minimum word count limit allowed for Challenge entries.

The word count rules for the Challenge are that all entries have to fall between 150 and 750 words. Anything outside those limits has to be disqualified - which is always a shame. Don't feel bad about it though - there are usually about about 5 or so people make this mistake each week, so you aren't alone.

Anyway, please keep entering. You may be a Level 1 entrant, but you show a lot of potential. This was a good start - it just needed to be expanded a little.

With love, Deb (Challenge Coordinator)
