I fall to my knees, hanging my head in shame
I came into this place to call upon your name
My heart is broken, shattered pieces all around
Please help me retrieve the moments so badly needed found
Tears overflow my dampened eyes
Why I am here to you is no surprise
You know ever secret I've ever kept
Every fear, every rage, every regret
How much I relied on myself
Always thinking I never needed anyone else
You know my every thought, my every need
I cling to throne; it's where I find my belief
Yet I still am so lost in my pride and my own grief
Through the flood of tomorrow I've lost my way
But I still find my place here today
Your hand cups my ashamed face
Into your arms by struggling body and mind find their place
You gently whisper, I love you always. No matter how you stray.
I will always lead you back to me this way.
This journey may take you far.
Remember you never leave my heart.
I will carry you wherever need be.
But you always find your back into the arms of heaven, to the arms of me."

This felt like it was written from the heart and that's what touched me.

I agree; this is a heartfelt poem, with many good descriptions of the Christian who needs to be encouraged by a loving God.

Beautiful words of encouragement. Thank you for writing this.
