I, personally, do not have much interest in sports, but Iím married to someone who loves sports. He, along with other sports enthusiastsí, try to watch all of the games, or at least keep up with the scores. Many fans go as far as to invest in season tickets; they want to be there in person to show their support. They wear their teamís colors, even displaying team decals and flags on their homes and cars. Some even sing the team song with painted faces. They console one another if their team is having a bad year; but in general, true fans are mostly optimistic!

There is, no doubt, a skirmish between good and evil that is being played in this world. We that are on Godís side know that we have already won! With Holy Ghost team spirit, letís be spiritual cheerleaders reminding each other of that truth. Let us proudly wear our team colorsí, which is our faith. When our brothers and sisters see them, it will build them up.

The Family of Godsí team is a team of champions! Jesus Christ is our Captain and His game plan is undefeatable. We must be loyal to one another, cheering each other on, as we play side by side on the field against the elements of the world, the wiles of the devil, principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, spiritual wickedness in high places. Our goal is to upset the opposition. We must be sure to support all our teammates, especially those that have been sorely tackled in this life. So what would a spiritual cheer sound like?

We have overcome
By the word of our testimony,
And by the blood of Godís Son
U-N-D-E-F-E-A-T-E-D in Him!

In Christ, weíre brand new,
Old things are passed away,
All things are become new!
How new?
BRAND NEW!
D-E-F-E-N-S-E

Press toward the mark,
Obtain that prize
Of the high calling of God
In Christ
P-R-E-S-S, PRESS, PRESS ON!

Teach one another,
Warn one another,
In psalms,
In hymns,
In spiritual songs!
A-T-T-A-C-K, PUSH THE ENEMY BACK!

The Lord Himself shall descend from heaven
With a shout,
With the voice of the archangel,
With the trump of God,
The dead in Christ shall rise!
Good has overcome, Jesus has won!
T-O-U-C-H-D-O-W-N!

In Numbers, chapter thirteen, the LORD told Moses to send men to search out the land of Canaan which would be given to them. They were to see if the land was good or bad; fat or lean. God knew all about the land, but wanted to see what kind of report they would come back with. They came back with two different points of view. Caleb reported back to Moses that he believed the children of Israel were well able to defeat the giants and possess this new territory; he had on his faith colors, he was virtually saying, with our God, we can push the giants back, way back!. The other spies were intimidated by the giants in the land. They said they were as grasshoppers in the sight of the giants; in other words, they could see no way to win.

We need to build up our faith that our God has already defeated the giants that will inevitably come against us in this life. When we do that, we will not be as likely to talk to one another about the skill of the opposition, but about the power of our God!

Now faith is, saints its game time! Cheerleaders take your positions; Jesus has started with the kickoff, the kick is good! Go team go!

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. (KJV)

This is a creative take on the topic and I enjoyed your enthusiasm. Watch your punctuation. Exclamation points should be used sparingly. Overall, this is a good piece. Keep writing.
