Verse 1

My friend I know these troubled times,
Seem more than we can bear,
Just know you can depend on me,
Your burdens you can share.
I want you to know on your behalf,
I’m not afraid to face the devil,
In Jesus name I have the authority,
And the ground I stand on is level.
Just like God sent Isaiah to bind up,
And heal the brokenhearted,
Through Jesus we’ll mend your brokenness,
He’ll see it’s done before we’re started …

Chorus

And I’ll lift you up, when you’re fallen down,
I’ll bring you to the throne of Jesus,
Just tear off your earthly crowns,
And give it all to Him, Let Him draw you close,
I may be a friend to you,
But he’s the best friend you’ll ever know ...
So I’ll lift you up …

Verse 2

My friend you know you’re doing wrong,
It’s not too hard to see,
I wish I didn’t have to tell you,
But it’s my responsibility,
You walked so straight for so long,
What caused this to happen now?
You were living for the Lord,
Now your head won’t even bow.
What are these tears, I didn’t come here,
Just to make you cry,
Oh, yes my friend, I’ll pray with you,
You don’t have to ask me twice …

(Chorus)

Bridge

Let you cry on my shoulder,
Until I feel your pain,
Let you tell me all of your problems,
Until you’ve had your say,
I’ll bind away the devil,
Rebuke him in Jesus name,
I’ll do everything that I can do,
To make sure you’re okay …

(Chorus 2x)
