MY MOTHER

My mother is like the virtuous woman
Described in Proverbs thirty-one
She is worth far above rubies
The heart of my Daddy safely trusts her
My Mother does my Daddy good, not evil
I just love my Mother!

My Mother provides food for our household
My Mother is strong and wise as an ant
Who doesnít shrink from impossible duties
She extends her hand toward the poor
Her lamp doesnít grow dim by night
Sheís the best Mother around!

She keeps our family warmly clothed
We are dressed well
She sews and stitches and repairs clothes
Makes clothing out of good fabrics
And doesnít settle for the worst and cheapest stuff around
Isnít she the greatest Mother?

My Mother clothes herself in strength and honor
When she opens her mouth, she speaks forth wisdom
The law of kindness is on her tongue at all times
She never eats the bread of idleness
She will rejoice in due time, for the good she has done
Donít I have the sweetest Mother ever found?

I, her firstborn daughter, rise up and call her blessed
All her children take pride in her
Her husband, my Daddy, praises her
Many daughters have done well
But my Mother, she excels them all
I love my Mother, for she is one who fears the Lord.

A beautiful tribute to your mother. I hope she was able to read this on Mothers' Day. She would have been proud.

This was a great article. Your mothers heart I'm sure is touched. Keep on writing for God's glory!

Crystal, this was lovely. I particularly liked the way you kept re-inforcing how wonderful your mother is. Very special - your mum must be so blessed by this. Just a quick note about your entries though. Make sure you leave your name off the bottom of your work when you submit it because the Challenge is meant to be anonymous so that the judges can't be accused of showing any bias toward their friends. I removed your name from the bottom of this entry, but if you could remember to check that in the future, it would be great. I can't always check the entries before the judges see them. With love, Deb (Challenge Coordinator)
