Jesus is My Friend

Jesus is my friend, I can talk to Him everyday.
He greets me in the morning, Heís with me through the day.
I can share all my secrets; He listens when I pray.
Yes, Jesus is my best friend and He is here to stay.

Thank-you Lord, for my best friend Jesus.
He is with me when Iím sleeping; Heís with me when I pray.
Thank-you Lord, for my best friend Jesus.
Hand in hand we walk together and He keeps me safe all day.

Jesus is my friend, I can talk to Him everyday.
I can tell Him how Iím feeling, and He says thatís okay.
If Iím sad, I can cry, if Iím happy I can smile.
Yes, Jesus is my best friend weíve been friends for quite awhile.

Thank-you Lord, for my best friend Jesus.
He is with me when Iím sleeping; Heís with me when I pray.
Thank-you Lord, for my best friend Jesus.
Hand in hand we walk together and He keeps me safe all day.
Hand and hand we walk together and He keeps me safe all day!!

Good prayer for a young child. The rhyme is not consistant, but the feeling of love for the saviour is there.
Donna Emery06/09/07
I agree. This expresses the purity of a child's love for their Savior very clearly.

I think young children would really enjoy this poem and it has a good message for them.
