My Heartís Cry

Silence, peace and quiet.
Where are you Lord?
I canít hear you.
Iím listening for your still small voice.
Waiting for instruction, a solution for my problem.
You said, ďCome to you, all who are weary
And heavy ladenĒ
So here I am, weary and heavy-laden.
My heart is hurting, Lord.
I donít think I will ever be the same again.
Will it ever be alright?
Will I survive this, Lord?
The temptation is too great.
I want to give up!
Throw in the towel, all this pain isnít worth it!
Oh, Father, my heart feels like it will break.
Wisdom, Lord, give me wisdom.
Oh, take this cup from me, I canít bear it, I canít!
I now think of you in the Garden alone,
Crying out to your Father.
Oh, how your heart must have hurt,
Knowing what you would have to do to save us.
Willing to suffer so that now at this time, for me,
I will be alright again,
I will survive, because you did.

This captured the emotions well of somebody who feels abandonded by God. I can certainly relate.
This is my favorite line: "Oh, take this cup from me, I canít bear it, I canít!"
Very nicely done.

This is so beautifully written, and the hurting heart is so well portrayed here. How I long to put my arms around this soul. Well done

The emotion is there. The struggle is there. The answer is there. Well done!

I wondered those same questions and thoughts so many times before.

What a moving poem on the journey from desperation to hope. Certainly puts it in perspective, doesn't it? Very nice job!

THIS was a blessing. I REALLY enjoyed reading this.

Great flow, great structure. I do believe there is some talent hidden between these lines.

A Very. Very Good Job.

I enjoyed this and can certainly relate to the emotions being expressed. It was gripping throughout with an uplifting ending. I felt the despair and the crying out and the peace. Nicely done.

I love this. So many of us can relate to this going through daily events and struggles. God bless your gift and keep writing from the heart, it will take you places only God can direct. Beautiful, just amazingly beautiful!Janice
