On a journey
On a beaten path
She tries to learn her way

Struggling hard
To be the mom
The world sees
Day to day

Never a pat on a the back
Or a thank you
Always a snide remark saying
‘That’s what you are supposed to do’

One step ahead with cleaning
One step ahead with working
One step ahead with reading God’s word every day
One step ahead with loving and learning God’s way

Mother to one, two or three
It is a struggle to get here and there
Praying “God, what about me”
Never knowing if anyone cares

Loving and Learning
A mother’s work is never done
Trying to be a wife, too
Yet never getting one on one

Loving and Learning
The mother is exhausted
Loving and Learning
Being all that she can be
Looking up to the Father
Praising His name and
Giving Him glory

Loving and Learning
Is the mother
Right here
Right now

As a mom, I can so relate to this. Very nice.

A good reminder to all of us who are mothers that no matter how busy we get, we need to make time for the Lord. Good work
