Today is a new day.
But can I forget days long before?
Past joys and pains
Left their mark in my core.

Today is a new day.
But my soul is restless indeed.
Iíve looked far and wide,
I canít find what I need.

Today is a new day.
This is the day I must choose.
Will I stay the same?
I can but thereís too much to lose.

Today is a new day.
I will try something new.
I will give it all to Jesus;
He may know what to do.

Today is a new day.
The past, no longer good for me.
Once a slave to myself,
Jesus Christ has set me free.

Today is a new day.
I have a smile on my face.
Christ gave me new life,
I found joy in Godís grace.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV)

I really needed this for my life today. A pleasant reminder that the past is past. Good job!
