"Good Morning. As is now being reported in many news sources, our world is facing
the greatest threat ever to approach the earth. As you see on the display, a huge meteor –well over 1000 miles wide-- is projected to strike the earth in 6 days. In response to this situation, the U.N. Security Council has issued an emergency authorization to mobilize all of the might and power of the United Nations forces to face this threat. In addition, Emergency Powers have been granted to my position. We have a plan, and we are completely confident we can avert the imminent disaster. Let me stress that this is not a time to panic--there are pockets of panicking religious U.N. resistors who are being detained as we speak. I will now take a few questions..."
"Mr. President, Mr. President!"
"With the middle east war raging at its worst ever, and Iran's countdown to launch her nuclear weapons in less than 10 days, how will this development affect a possible lasting peace in the region?"
"Excellent question-- All nations--including Iran--upon receiving the news and
indisputable data we presented, have agreed to lay down their arms, and fully cooperate with the U.N. All eyes are now on the sky.”
"Mr. President, Mr. President!"
An aide appears and whispers in his ear.
“Excuse me, I need to take care of something right now…”
“Sir, we need you to go to Jerusalem.”
“Thousands of people from all over the world are gathering there, crying out for peace. We need you there to assure them that you are the one they need, the one they seek, the one that brings the peace.”
“I need to meet with my 12 chiefs.”
“Yes sir – let’s walk there now—“
“Good Morning. The object is not a meteor at all, but a cube. Our observation outposts on the moon clearly show it to be a shining golden cube. We believe it to be some type of alien ship. It’s projected to land somewhere in northern Israel—we’re gathering the U.N. armies from all over the world to make first contact and meet the aliens, and resist the threat, if any.”
“Right here in Megiddo, the valley of Megiddo. That’s all for now. I have a plane to catch.”
“Sir, you look tired, perhaps you could get some rest—“
“How dare you approach me without permission! Security, remove this one.”
“What?!? No…. no!”
“Sir, we have reports that the settlers in the West Bank are fleeing for the mountains. Thousands of refugees are leaving all at once.”
“Good, good….that will make my appearance in Jerusalem easier!”
“Here is the latest report from Megiddo. As you requested, military assets from all over the world are gathering there. It’s taking some time to move some of the heavier equipment, but it’s getting there in record time.”
“All this good news—makes me very happy—“
“Good Morning. I stand here in the temple in Jerusalem to bring you good news. For the first time since the Garden of Eden, our entire world is at peace. United we stand against the disaster that is approaching our planet! United we stand, using our weapons for peace! United we stand, brothers and sisters! United we stand, united we stand, united we stand!”
“Sir, we have reports from all over the world that the religious resistors are posting blogs so quickly, preaching their sick gospel, that we cannot close them all down.”
“Find them, and destroy them!”
“Sir, the golden cube is so close now in visual range, people are beginning to doubt our coverup—“
“Ugh--More ‘good’ news—issue the followup Press Release that explains why it’s so shiny.”
“Mr. President, sir. Why are the armies of the world gathering in Megiddo?”
“Why are the armies fighting each other?”
“Excuse me….. “ (turns to his aides) “What’s happening?”
“Sir, the generals and commanders on the field could not agree on a command structure and began fighting amongst themselves.”
“I can’t believe this! If you want something done, you have to do it yourself. Let’s go!”
“Do you see it? It’s a city…it’s a shiny golden city!?!”
“It looks like it’s not reflecting the light—“
“The light is coming from inside—Oh no, wait—it’s Him!”
“Him!?! Him, who?”
“It’s Jesus, the Christ! Launch weapons—everything we have—“
