“Her look captivates me like a flower attracting a bee. How could she consider herself as a celestial creature and disapprove the gestures of my eyes? She appears like a ‘silver stream’ screen saver set for a second in my system. At any cost she must be mine.” Warren told his intimate friend Daniel.

“Hey! Whom are you talking about?” Daniel asked curiously.

“Who else? That bold, beautiful, bright eyed, blonde haired, brilliant...” Warren lost in thoughts started feeding his mind with filthy thoughts. After a few moments, he held Daniel’s hand in a romantic manner and uttered these words. “No wonder she is a queen. At least for one day she must be the queen of my heart. She lives down this lane but escapes the trap I set for her. Wait and watch she will knock at my door very soon. Many say that she is God-fearing. Let me prove my prowess to her.” Warren laughed like a sinister.

Daniel could not contain himself. “Warren! Beware! Do not play with the life of an innocent woman. It is trying to carry hot coals without getting burnt. Keep away. The Bible clearly confirms that the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life are but virtues of the devil. Be careful!”

“Shut up Danny! Esther will be mine. I will make it happen.” Challenged Warren.

“She is like a fish in the sea. Filthiness may surround like salt but a fish is always pure. As long as there is life in her she would safe guard her chastity always.” Daniel firmly told his friend because he too feared God. After conversing a few other matters they departed.

Warren waved and whispered. “Esther will be mine.”

Danny left with this thought. “Yes. If the sun rises in the West.”

That evening Warren valiantly entered the magician’s house. A mysterious air circulated in that area. Pieces of broken bones, parts of a skull, fresh fragrant flowers strewn over painted stones, crushed lemon fruits and many such items were seen in that room.

“Hey young man! What do you want?” A gruff voice questioned and Warren fumbled for words.

Then mustering courage he peeked into the blood red eyes of the magician. “I want to enjoy Esther, the young girl who lives at #7 Brent Wood Drive. My pals must know what I am capable of.

“Pay me the price! Then rest assured that your assignment is accomplished. Surely Esther will fall at your feet. I am an expert in this field and believe me I am second to none.”

Warren gladly gave an exorbitant fee and left dreaming about that day with Esther.

The magician got ready to perform certain rituals. Normally he would keep chanting the name of the person along with a particular mantra. On uttering it for the one hundredth and first time a lemon fruit placed specially for this purpose would bounce on the floor and roll away. This is a sure sign that the evil spirits are obeying his orders. Eagerly expecting such a feat he told the name of Esther followed by the mantra for the one hundredth and first time. To his utter dismay, he fell back on his knees and looked up just like Saul on the way to Damascus.

An unapproachable light filled that room. Jesus Christ appeared and spoke to that magician. “Esther is Mine! She is My daughter! From this day onward, I am ordaining you as My servant.” A shiver went down the spine of that magician. Fear and evils of the past fled from him. Perfect love that which Jesus Christ poured into his heart filled his soul. With joy and happiness the magician started dancing to a different tune – the command of Christ.

The spiritual life of Esther became a mystery to the magician. The transformed life of the magician became a mystery to Warren and that of Warren became a mystery to Daniel. Above all Esther never knew how her relationship with Christ could cause such an impact in the lives of many people. The prayer life of Esther still remains a mystery to me ever since I heard about this incident through a servant of God. Is your prayer life a mystery to others? Examine today.

God always protects his own and causes others to accept him. Good point.

Ooh, there is a fantasy twist here with the magician. Kinda sinister-spooky, but the right idea, I'm guessing there wasn't enough room (word count) for you to fit everything in, it seems like there is more to this story. Good job!
