The tight grip on my hand from my mother trickled down to seven other little hands.Like a childs play train that connects to each car slowly going around the track, and every now and then falling off. Thats how it was when we went shopping with mother. She would drag us around the mall like the engine of that train set.Of course we didnt mind if the shopping was for our benifit, unless we had to try on something. Thats when we would fall off the tracks kicking and screaming all the way into the dressing room, until the task was completed. Then we would connect up again and start our circle of that every boring MALL!Sometimes we would get a treat if mother had extra money to spend you know one of those hot pretzels or an icecream cone or sometimes even a movie of course this depended on the connection if we broke it we would pick up and start over praying mother was in a good mood or she didnt see it.Just when we thought all was going good, thats when we would those dreaded words"Just One More Store"

Very cute and your last comment is so true! My oldest son gets so tired of hearing "Just one more" and I am sure my baby will too when he is old enough to understand.

Ooooooooh! I can't imagine being a mom with seven kids to take shopping! I enjoyed reading your interesting look at shopping from a child's perspective! I might suggest some proofreading before you submit your piece, though, to catch errors that might detract somewhat from your story. I hope to read more of your writing! :)

Your mom sure showed strength. I had 8 kids and left them all at home with their Dad. Nice memory. Thanks for sharing.
