In one year's time I can safely say
that my life changed from night to day
to imagine such change seemed profound
but then, I was lost but now I'm found
Before, I once thrived in the shadows
my hidden acts only the darkness knows
that was before I felt His holy might
and was welcomed home, into the light
My old self, away from me was driven
all I've done, my past sins forgiven
I was dead, but now I am born-again
For Jesus loves me and calls me friend
