In one year's time I can safely say
that my life changed from night to day
to imagine such change seemed profound
but then, I was lost but now I'm found

Before, I once thrived in the shadows
my hidden acts only the darkness knows
that was before I felt His holy might
and was welcomed home, into the light

My old self, away from me was driven
all I've done, my past sins forgiven
I was dead, but now I am born-again
For Jesus loves me and calls me friend

Good poem. I thought that your opening few words related to thinking about the future rather looking back at the past - "In one year's time". How about "In the space of a year.."?

I loved your poem and would have liked if it was longer. But great entry.

Christian, this was truly a lovely poem. The only problem was (as some have already pointed out) that it was under the minimum word count and so had to be disqualifed - which was such a shame. The minimum word count is 150 words, and your poem came in at just 91 words. Hope you'll jump into the Challenge again - just keep the word count limits in mind. 150 minimum and 750 maximum. With love, Deb (Challenge Coordinator)
