Topic: Reading (01/25/07)
SCRIPTURE:

Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. ~1 Timothy 4:13 KJV~

THOUGHTS:

You have been given a gift of sight. With that gift you are able to see words and read words and hopefully comprehend. Do not let a day go by without reading the newspaper, novel, devotional or magazine. But most importantly, do not let a day go by without reading the Bible. Do not let a day go by without praying and spending time with God. Show God you love him. He loves you.

ACROSTIC POEM:

*E*very day
*A*nd live according to its
*D*octrines, laws, and commandments.
*I*t is important that you
*N*ever put your relationship with
*G*od on the back burner.

PRAYER:

Dear God, thank you for eyes to see and a brain that enables me to read, think, understand and comprehend. Thank you for all the blessings you have bestowed upon me. I love to read your words, covenants and doctrines in the Bible. Thank you God. I love you. Amen.

This structure would be something that would make for a great devotional time--Scripture, thoughts, poem, prayer. This is a discipline that really appeals to the writer in me.

I like your poem. You might add "your Bible" at the end of the first line so that eveyone knows that it is that book that you refer to. Nice job.
