Itís raining today. Water is flowing down the window pain. There are no birds making music, no squirrels barking at each other, thereís only rain. The weatherman says it will continue through tomorrow.

I love the calming sound of rain. I love getting lost in the constant flow on the glass. I sit sideways in my oversized chair, my knees pulled close to my chest, my thoughts drifting through things past, things present and things to come. While pondering the stages of my life and the unknown of what is ahead, I pick up my journal and pen to write a prayer.

Lord, you are my strength, you are my savior, my life and my love. You are my safety, my protector and my provider. I thank you for my past so that I may live in my present with the knowledge of my future. I thank you Lord for saving me from my self-destruction. I thank you Lord for who you have made me to be. I thank you Lord that the most exciting experience of my life will be the day I am caught up in the clouds with you as one of your saints. Thank you Jesus for how great you are! Amen

I close my eyes and meditate for a moment on the prayer I have written. My soul leaps in excitement as I imagine the great day it will be when Jesus calls me home.

This was well written - you painted a soft relaxing picture for me. I might have italicized the one part where you prayer - maybe - and I wish you had written more as it was good!:)

I love the way you set the scene in the first two paragraphs--very serene. Watch out for the spelling of "pane"--and do squirrels bark? All in all, a lovely piece of writing from the heart.

Short and SWEET! This was 'just right'. I loved the descriptions and feelings you encorperated. Noticed a typo, but Great job!
