While we were working in the great kitchen, baking and cooking for the great supper,
Outside we heard victorious shouts and praises, like the sound of roaring thunder!
Just for a few moments, all of us went out to witness what was happening,
The glory of God filled that place and flowed like a river: what a sight to see!

Then a voice came from the throne, saying:
"Praise our God,
all you his servants,
you who fear him,
both small and great!"

Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting:
"Hallelujah!
For our Lord God Almighty reigns.
Let us rejoice and be glad
and give him glory!
For the wedding of the Lamb has come,
and his bride has made herself ready.
Fine linen, bright and clean,
was given her to wear."

We looked down and saw invitations stacked neatly in baskets on tables of gold,
And on each invitation was carefully written a simple saying of old:

"Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!
These are the true words of God."

Laughing, we went back and finished the food for the great feast for Jesus and the saints,
Victoriously knowing that we were finally safe from evil, and our God reigns!

The Head of the feast celebrated with song

And the festivities went on all night long.

There were joyous widows and happy orphans

Children all they broke out in dances.

The stars grew high and dazzled with light

and all were there living together in delight.

I never thought about someone having to do the cooking for the feast. (waves his hand wildly) Can I do the dishes?

A very creative and well-written piece.
