We were friends ...
We grew up together
We went to school together
We attended church together
We partied together.

We were friends ...
We shared secrets to each other
We dreamed of our future together
We cried for the loss of loved ones together
We walked the teenage path together.

But, something happened.
We were no longer doing things together.
You didnít tell me one secret
That would change our lives forever.

And when I knew,
It sure hurt.
I felt betrayed
What should I do?

For a while I sulked
I just couldnít bear it
My best friend getting married
But I was not invited.

Life had to go on.

Then I became a Christian
I have experienced Godís forgiveness
And I remembered you.

Friends forgive
Though the trust may be betrayed.
So I made that call
Thank God I did.
'Coz you were just waiting
After all these years,
And now weíve become friends again
Friends forever.

Beautiful way to share a painful experience. The closer we are to our friends, the more they can cause us pain. That's why some people don't let people get close. We call those people, lonely. Glad to read this relationship had a happy ending.

Well done. The poem shares the heart and ache of friendship, but you bought the point of
forgiveness and mercy. I liked it.

I could see my own picture painted in these words. My heart still aches, and I still stand at the 2nd step of forgiving and waiting for my friend to come back.
Praize, glory and honor be to God, who reunites close friends.Amen.
God bless you and yours.
