Can’t you see
how they are hurting inside?
Can’t you see
how they are misled by pride?
Lord I don’t understand it,
come out and save the lost!
You have paid the price for them,
after considering the cost.

Another one died today Lord,
Your kingdom he will never see.
A place of torment forever
is the place he is destined to be.
I don’t understand, why are
salvation from them withhold?
Does the damnation of their souls
leave You cold?

Lord I pray,
reveal this thing unto me.
Show me Your heart,
cause my eyes to see.
I am seeking Your face,
lead me out of this confusion.
I am waiting on You,
let me come to the right conclusion.

…sela…

My child,
if You could only see My heart.
But if You do,
it will tear you apart.
That everybody should be saved
is My hearts cry.
No one that calls unto my name,
will I deny.

My child, if you love me,
you will know Me and obey.
To go out and testify and say
everything I want you to say.
Allowing Me to be glorified
in all that you do.
My hands to touch the people;
did you know it is you?

You are my body;
I work with people through you.
When you die to yourself,
I can touch lives through you.
Will you take my burden
for lost souls on you?
My love and grace will then
see you through.

…sela…

Lord I repent before You,
forgive me my selfishness.
I have seeked my own ways;
how could I have been so loveless?
Lord in my weakness,
help me never to compromise.
To You I say yes,
I volunteer to pay the price.

amen! We all need to be the volunteer in this story.

Beautiful! This was very deep with some rooted emotions woven in there. One thing, in the sentence "after considering the cost." Was the word 'after' really needed? It sort of interrupted the flow, there were a few awkward places here and there, but overall a very touching read. Good job :)

I was very blessed by reading your piece! Many of us struggle with similar things as your character, and hopefully we arrive at the same conclusion! :)

I have a couple of little suggestions for you. First, in the second stanza, you have a grammatically incorrect line: "Why are salvation from them withhold?" You could change it to "Why is salvation from them withheld?" However, now it won't rhyme with the next line! To get it to rhyme, you could say "Why do you salvation from them withhold?"

Anyway, overall I think your poem is very good and also thought-provoking! Thank you for sharing it with us! :)

I forgot to tell you my second suggestion! "I have seeked my own ways" should be "I have sought my own ways."

I'd like to read more of your work, so I hope you keep writing!
