"Volunteer"
What this word can mean in your life
There’s something about this word "volunteer" that apparently intrigues me because I seem to do it all the time.
I like to volunteer. But why? I’ve never been able to figure this out. Maybe it’s because I secretly like to feel needed and when you do volunteer, that seems to somehow fill that need.
Maybe it’s because I like to make people happy and doing this puts me on the spot where I have to do something, just because I’ve committed myself.
It’s definitely not that I just feel obligated but it truly activates me. So it’s a challenge as well.
So here we have it…several things that are especially important to me: feeling needed and having a personal commitment, plus having a definite challenge in my life. These things as I’ve already mentioned, are very important. So if you are like this at all, these things will also get you motivated and you may discover a completely new aspect of your life.
