Little Tiny One
Little tiny baby held in our loving arms,
Held
Fed
Loved
And lovingly carried to bed,
Little toddler eyes aglow,
Life is play
Love
Food
Being read to and tucked into bed.
Little independence achieving your dreams,
School
Challenges
New foods
Still loved
And now sent to bed,
Growth, were joining the ranks our parents are in.
Jobs
College
Stress and love
Sleep now is hard to find.
Than one day we realize, our lives are theirs.
Marriage
Jobs
Children, our own
Loving little hearts we tuck into bed,
Touching their little heads we wonder what their dreams will be.
Our parent’s lives become entwined in ours, as now the circle nears completion.
We are now feeding a parent
Reading to a parent
Cleaning for them
And putting them to bed,
The circle of love, that started with a little heart beat, created by God
We know will soon slow, and return to dwell with Him.
Our parents, we’re parents, their parents,
The circle of love ordained by God above
