“All things are possible with God, there’s nothing God cannot do for you child of God!” You are the apple of God’s eye! 28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (Rom 8:28 - NIV).
While on earth; Jesus healed the sick, made the blind to see and the crippled to walk. He cast out devils and forgave people of their sins. As I sat thinking about what the preacher said, a few questions ran through my mind… why don’t we see miracles anymore? Is there something we are not doing right? Does God hear our prayers as he did before?
A few weeks ago, one lady from our congregation testified of how God raised her from the dead, she had just given birth to a baby boy and in the process lost a lot of blood; she had already been sent home and while at home, she collapsed and immediately entered into a coma.
Her husband and his friend rushed her to hospital, where she was placed immediately on a life-support system. Doctors and nurses did all they could to save her, but could not. She saw herself leave her own body. She tried to tell the doctors and the nurses that she was still around, still in the room and none of the people in the hospital room could actually see her. She had entered the spiritual realm.
She saw her husband and his friend crying and praying to God – and asking God for mercy. Her husband, cried to God and pleading with Him to give his wife a second chance, how was he going to manage alone with two little children, one was only a few days old.
My sister tried by all means to make them realize that she was still in the room. Eventually two men came (i.e. in the spirit realm, to carry her and lead her to her death), she asked them, who they were – and they responded that they were messengers and were asked to come and lead her way.
Her husband and his friend did not give up praying, the doctors and nurses joined in the prayers – apparently she was placed on some kind of a trolley and being lead and driven to somewhere where she did not know…
God answered their prayers, as she was just about to be ushered onto a certain compartment, she saw a “big man” who told her to go back and enter into her body again. She went back to the room where her body was lying – she looked at herself and how much thin she had become, according to her, her body was no longer desirable to look at. As they continued praying she could not immediately enter back into her body because she was still feeling weak.
Suddenly, as the prayers went on, she gathered strength and jumped back into her body, the first thing she did was shouting, “Hallelujah, glory to God!” And everyone around, the husband, his friends, her friends, the doctors and nurses, the people on the other bed were all astonished.
The doctor had already pronounced her dead and the nurses were getting ready to prepare her body to be taken to the mortuary… there was a great celebration in the room, my sister was raised back to life. If you must know, she was “certified dead” – there are things that doctors and nurses can do, but only God can raise people back to life. Jesus is the greatest doctor; he is also the greatest nurse. When you are broken and have no hope in life – he’ll bring you back to life, he’ll revive your soul. Jesus is the only doctor / nurse that can heal both body and soul. He is able to operate you and bring you back to normal.
Yes, I do appreciate the human doctors and nurses, I believe God has called them – and yet, He (God) intervenes where they cannot do anything. For my sister – Jesus intervened and gave her back her life, gave her a second chance to serve him again. There’s a lesson to be learnt here. You might have been given many chances to serve God and have not used those chances. For me, I have realized that God is a God of second chances, third and fourth chances – He is LOVE… AND THE DOCTOR OF ALL TIMES!!!
