The pulses of life flowed through the city in sharp flashes of light. A street - clusters of light defining the corners. A building - flashes of red, blue, green, gold and other colours running the edges. Everything had a momentary definition of brilliance in the eyes of the Visionary's hollow mind.

He gazed back down the pier at the city, wisps of illumination jumping forward in time from one street corner to another. The wind was cold. The visionary gripped his jacket, the scene was familiar and the season was the same.

Behind the Visionary, the waves kicked up and down around the pillars underneath the jetty. So many visions, so many sights and yet the vastness of the ocean behind him was black - the sea not disclosing a blink of life along its rolling waves.

This was poetically told, but Oh! I wanted more.
