WE ALWAYS SHARED A CLOSE AND SACRED BOND;
VISION AND I
HE ALWAYS WAS MY CLOSEST FRIEND
HE TAUGHT ME HOW TO HOLD ON TIGHT EVEN IN THE DARKEST OF NIGHTS
HE TAUGHT ME HOW TO SEE BEYOND ALL THE LIMITATIONS OF THIS PRESENT WORLD
WE ALWAYS SHARED A CLOSE AND SACRED BOND;
VISION AND I
HE TAUGHT ME HOW TO SING A JOYFUL SONG EVEN WHEN EVERYTHING SEEMED TO BE GOING WRONG
HE LEAPED INTO MY FUTURE AND TOOK A PICTURE OF A GLORIOUS, SUCCESSFUL ME, THEN BROUGHT IT BACK INTO THE PRESENT TO SHOW ME A DAY WHEN I WOULD FINALLY BE FREE
HE MAPPED OUT THE LONG JOURNEY TOWARDS DESTINY AND EXCELLENCE
HE COUNTED THE COST AND PROMISED TO HELP ME PAY THE PRICE
HE INTRODUCED ME TO HIS CLOSEST FRIENDS:FAITH, FOCUS, DETERMINATION & DILIGENCE.
WE BONDED ON THE SPOT AS WE JOURNEYED TOGETHER HAND IN HAND ON THE HIGH WAY OF LIFE
WE ALWAYS SHARED A CLOSE AND SACRED BOND; VISION AND I
THEN ONE DAY A TERRIBLE STORM HIT, I FELL TO THE GROUND, STRAIGHT INTO THE DEEP MIRY CLAY,
THE NEXT TIME I LOOKED UP
I COULDN'T FIND MY CLOSEST FRIENDS
TEARS & FEARS TAUNTED ME
I WAS ALL ALONE, UNABLE TO STAND UP
I COULD HEAR HIS VOICE CALL OUT, YET I COULDN'T SEE HIM
FOR DAYS,MONTHS AND YEARS WE WERE SEPERATED
HE WAS STILL ON THE HIGHWAY WAITING FOR ME
I WAS IN THE MUD WALLOWING IN SELF-PITY AND CONDEMNATION
EVERYDAY HE CALLED OUT TO ME YET I COULDN'T SEE HIM
I CRIED AND SIGHED
UNTIL I COULDN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE
I LOOKED UP
ONLY TO FIND A ROPE OF HOPE
HANGING SLIGHTLY ABOVE MY HEAD
VISION MY FAITHFUL FRIEND HAD WAITED ALL THESE YEARS FOR ME TO LOOK UP
FOR HE COULDN'T COME DOWN

WE WERE UNITED
TODAY WE STILL WALK HAND IN HAND
AND EVEN WHEN A DREARY STORM HITS
I HOLD ON TIGHTER INSTEAD OF LETTING GO OF MY SACRED FREIND CALLED "VISION"

I like the repetitive phrasing in your piece. All caps makes it slightly harder to read, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

This is lovely - but please not in capitals next time! I liked the extended metaphor.
