Everything?

Everything.

Really, Lord? everything?

Yes. everything.

But I don't think you understand.

I understand.

You mean, even when...

EVERYTHING.

But.. but...

Don't make me say it again.

But... last week, when...

Yes. Even that.

I just don't get it.

You don't have to get it... just do it.

So.... what am I supposed to do instead?

Give thanks.

What? Surely You don't mean...

Yes I do.

It's so... counterintuitive.

I tend to like things that way.

But why?

Ah, the never ending question.

This is the hard way. It's so much easier to just...

I know, my child. But it's for your good.

My good? But it just feels better to...

Feelings can deceive you, child. But I'll never deceive you.

So... got any advice?

Just look to me.

But I'm still confused. Everything? Do you really meant that?

Yes.

But...

Everything!

I'd like to learn, but it's hard.

I never said anything about easy.

So how do I start?

Look to Me and look for Me in...

Everything?

Yes, my dear one. Everything.

It will take some time for me to learn, Lord.

Hey, I've got all of eternity.

Okay. But can I start... tomorrow?

Today.

Today? But... Look at me. Here I am whining about whining. I've got a ways to go, don't I?

But I'll help you. In...

Everything.

Everything.

Philippians 2:14 (NASB)
Do all things without grumbling or disputing;

1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NASB)
in everything give thanks; for this is Godís will for you in Christ Jesus.

Accept Jesus as Your Savior Right Now and be Certain of Eternal Life.

As others have said, I can totally relate to this piece, which serves as a devotional worth meditation. Your clear, honest writing shows that simple can be powerful.

Love this! It's so sweet and tender, showing everything in a very simple way, our resistance and His patience. Great job, thanks for sharing!
